“B.C. Artists in Healthcare Society is a 100% volunteer-based organization and all our programs are free.

The purposes of our non-profit Society (#S-47006) are:

a) to promote healthcare and healing through the creative arts
b) to provide an artistic service within healthcare communities
c) to establish artist-in-residence programs in healthcare institutions and palliative care settings

Specifically, as a charitable organization (#86677 1207 RR0001)
our mandate is:

a) to promote the arts in healthcare through an ArtCare programs for persons living with cancer, their caregivers and people at the end of life in Metro Vancouver.
b) to provide a model for introducing and encouraging similar programs that offer a moment of respite through a creative experience for persons living with cancer, their caregivers and people at the end-of-life within other communities in the province of British Columbia.”
