B.C. Artists in Healthcare Society is a 100% volunteer-based organization and all our programs are free. Our Board of Directors is elected annually.

1. take pART in ART: HOSPICE PROGRAMS
We offer ongoing and annual ArtCare training workshops for regional hospice volunteers. Our ArtCare program was first introduced at Crossroads Inlet Centre Hospice, Port Moody, BC in January, 2004. It continues to thrive under the leadership of artists-in-residence Christine Graf and Anna Berger.

2. take pART in ART: Patient-Directed COMMUNITY EVENTS
Community ArtCare events raise awareness of the value and importance of the arts in healthcare. These events invite the public to participate in projects designed and directed by chemotherapy patients, cancer survivors and artist volunteers. In celebration of Vancouver’s 2010 Olympics, participants in our
Color through Chemo project received “Spirit of Artcare” gold medals and produced The Hope and Cope Coloring Book.
